Exploring Collaboration Opportunities for Inclusive & Accountable Project- DRG, Inclusion International and IRC
The IRC and Inclusion International have partnered to highlight the importance of including adolescent girls with intellectual disabilities in humanitarian action. Our goal was to better understand current disability inclusion practices and identify key barriers that prevent these girls and their families from accessing services and engaging in programs. To achieve this, we conducted consultations with adolescent girls with intellectual disabilities and their caregivers, listening to their experiences and gathering their recommendations. Based on these insights, we have developed a set of resources to support more inclusive approaches and foster meaningful partnerships with representative organizations.
Below, you will find links to the Learning Report, which synthesizes the research process and findings in Ethiopia and Burkina Faso. Additionally, we are sharing the Inclusion Humanitarian Survey Report and a Listen Include Respect case study, which illustrates how the Listen Include Respect guidelines informed the planning and implementation of the consultations.
